• Use the exact journal title names or ISSN numbers.
  • Since journal source data may be incomplete, it is advisable to search for a journal title using both ISSNs and Journal Title as search terms.
  • Do multiple searches for all available ISSNs (e.g., Online, Print and Link ISSNs) and title variations (e.g., using alternate titles)
  • Searching will accommodate for limited partial matching. Searching works better with exact matches, i.e., when search terms are 100% correct, without spelling errors.
  • Some journal titles may contain commas, full stops, etc. For example: “Accounting, Organizations and Society“; “027.7 : Zeitschrift für Bibliothekskultur“; “21 : Inquiries into Art, History, and the Visual” or “1991. Revista de Estudios Internacionales“. To improve accuracy, make sure to include official punctuation where relevant.
  • To accommodate for data inaccuracies on journal sources, play with variations such as “and” as opposed to “&”, “on” as opposed to “of”, etc.
  • Fidelior™ will accommodate limited phoneme possibilities (e.g., organisation vs. organization).
